The 27th Papua New Guinea (PNG) National Karate Championship has been deferred to December 17 – 18, according to federation president Carl Mari.

Mari had initially announced the championship for November 18 – 20 due to the availability of international referees. However, due to the FIFA Women’s Under 20 World Cup being hosted by the country, the dates were moved.

He also called for senior athletes to attend the championships as selections for the Oceania Championships would be done during this tourney.
