PNG Kyokushin Karate postpones tournament

The much anticipated 1st National Weight Category Kyokushin Karate Tournament has been deferred to April 25 – 26, according to the PNG Kyokushin Karate’s Facebook page.

The initial tentative dates were March 22 – 23. However, a meeting between Branch Chief Sensei Wally Schnaubelt and Chief Instructor Sempai Bernard Soari saw the dates changed. However, a venue for the event is yet to be confirmed.

Sempai Soari posted on PNG Kyokushin Facebook page,

Kyokushin students should by now half way through their training prep.

Please keep these two important dates in your dairy or somewhere you can remember easily.

April 25 and 26th, prepare yourself properly. Don’t say I never inform you.

Full Contact and Kata comp will be on. Meeting results as of tonight between the Branch Chief and Erima Dojo. All looks set now.

All the best

Osu.

Meanwhile Sempai Soari will be conducting a training camp for the New Ireland Province Karate Federation (NIPKF) from March 16 – 22.
