First Papuan Karate Titles deferred to October

The 1st Papuan Karate Title which was planned for 21st September 2013 has been deferred to Saturday 5th October 2013.

In the meantime PNGKF will send four athletes to compete in the Fiji International Karate Championship on 27th – 28th 2013. The athletes are;

  1. Nigel Bana (Rock Shotokan Karate Budokai), he’ll compete in kumite 60kg, Open and kata;
  2. Quentine Bougen (Buka Shotokan Karate), he’ll compete in kumite -84kg and Open;
  3. Bernard Sinai (Mas Oyama Kyokushin Karate), he’ll compete in Kumite 75kg and Open, and;
  4. Crystal Mari (Rock Shotokan Karate Budokai), she’ll compete in Cadet Division kumite 52kg, Open and kata.

The three male athletes will also take part in male team kumite. The Coach is Sensei Luke Goa (Goju Ryu Karate). The team is part of the PNG development squad.

The team departs on Sunday 22nd Sept and return on 30th September 2013.
