Papua New Guinea Karate-do Federation (PNGKF) will send be sending a team to compete in the Queensland Summer Championships on the 23 – 24 of March.
The athletes taking part in this tournament are Doris Karamo, Violent Wangi, Crystal Mari, Julius Piku, Nigel Bana, Silas Piskaut, Terah Efi, Cosmas Saliwali, Junior Billy, Dennis Kopman, Jacklyn Barney, Manu Mekere, Jimmy Pius, Atomu Amani, Timothy Alovare with coach Sensei Willie Leslie and manager Sensei Luke Goa.
PNGKF president, Sensei Carl Mari said the athletes would participate in point contact kumite, individual kata and team kata.
The athletes will return on March 25 to prepare for the VI PNG Open Championships to be held over the Easter weekend.
