Kyokushin karate classes at Wally’s dojo in 6 Mile kicked off on Monday and instructor Sempai Samson Benroy, while welcoming the students, informed them of the scheduled curriculum.
He said grading will be conducted every three months with the first grading for the year set at March 10. However students have to become members and attend all classes to qualify for grading. He also sa
id that former students wishing to grade must also attend classes to qualify.
Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6pm – 7:30pm, and Saturdays from 8am – 9:30am.
Wally’s Dojo is owned by Sensei Walter Schnaubelt and is located in the Wally’s Bar and Grill at 6 Magila Street, 6 Mile (opposite IBS). It is the only internationally recognized dojo in the country.
