Great news for martial arts in Papua New Guinea (PNG) as the Host Organising Committee (HOC) for the PNG Games announced the list of 24 sports to participate in November. The Papua New Guinea Karate Federation (PNGKF) has officially announced the participation of karate as an optional sport in the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Games to be held in Kokopo, East New Britain in November. Papua New Guinea Mas. Oyama Kyokushin Karate Association (PNGMOKKA) will start training in February. According to Sempai Silas Piskaut, training for this year will start on February 6 and end in December. PNGMOKKA is the only internationally recognized Kyokushin organisation in the country and is headed by Branch Chief and SOS Director, Sensei Walter Schnaubelt.
