Taekwondo’s Maxwell and aunt Samantha Kassman, will be traveling to Melbourne, Australia, to train under coach Andy Rutten, The National (March 10) reports, in three week’s time.
The pair, while in the country, are training with local coach Edward Kassman but will switch to Rutten’s training regime when they arrive in Australia, which will continue until they depart for Rio.
Coach Kassman said the pair are working on improving their strength and fitness, and added that they were looking at sending them to championships in Germany and Spain.
Both athletes qualified during the Oceania Olympic Qualifiers held last following weekend at the Taurama Aquatic Centre in Port Moresby.
