According to president English Tanot the event will be staged during the Queen’s Birthday weekend (June 7 – 9) and will be used to prepare fighters for the upcoming PNG Games in Lae next year and the 2015 Pacific Games.
Invitations for the event have been sent out to various Karate schools in the province.
Tanot also said there will be a judging and refereeing clinic conducted from May 13 – 17 in preparation for the tournament.
