Papua New Guinean fans of Michael Jai White will be disappointed to learn that the martial artist and first African-American movie star to play a superhero (Spawn) will not be part of the much anticipated movie project, The B-Team.
According to an interview with Fred Topel of CraveOnline, Don ‘The Dragon’ Wilson has announced that the producers are looking at an addition lead and replacement for the star of Blood and Bone and Never Back Down 2. He said Michael Dudikorf and Jeff Speakman have been added to the cast and will spend 6 weeks in the country shooting the film.
Dudikorf is best known for his work on the American Ninja series while Speakman is an actor and accomplished martial artist having attained an 7th degree Blackbelt in Go-Ju Ryu. He has starred in films like The Perfect Weapon, The Street Knight and The Expert.
Wilson also hinted at getting as many stars as they can to appear in the film. He has mentioned names like Billy Blanks, Olivier Gruner, Mark Dacascos and Lorenzo Lamas for cameo appearances. However that is yet to finalized.
