ESP kickboxing calling for support

The Wewak kickboxing fraternity is seeking support to send their team of 28 fighters to the PNG Grassroots Games in Kokopo, East New Britain, come November.

Wewak Kickboxing Association (WKA) trainer, Mark Sai, is confidence of the team winning medals after their impressive performance during the last games held in Port Moresby which they collected seven gold medals topping the tally in the code. He is appealing to the East Sepik Provincial government, business houses and individuals to assist in the team’s preparation.

Each fighter is required to pay a levy of K500 and there were also other expenses like accommodation and transport to the games in November.

As a promotion for the code, an exhibition show will be staged during the Independence Weekend. This event will see fighters from Madang and Port Moresby participate. Sai will also be taking the ring against the city fighters.

Anyone wishing to support the team can contact Sai on telephone (+675) 735 17 775.
